Angel Pantin Built and performed by
Paulette Richards Description
Jumping jack puppets date back to Ancient Egyptian times.  In 18th century France these string puppets, known as pantins became very popular among the nobility. The little figures took the form of Comédia del Arte stock characters or fantasy characters.  By the end of the century, however, pantins had fallen out of fashion. This pantin introduces pulley mechanisms and operates animatronically when attached to a servo motor.   Living Objects theme
